I enjoyed this book because of the characters and because I liked the first in the series. I did find the whole amnesia piece a little difficult to handle, not because Mia having amnesia wasn't believable, but because of the Gavin-Quinn split. I honestly got more excited by the idea of Mia and Gavin together and couldn't work up any enthusiasm for her with Quinn. In fact, I found the way she and Quinn fell for each other too convenient. Even though I know that a book three about Gavin is coming, and I'm looking forward to it, I would have preferred to see Quinn in book three and Mia and Gavin get together in this one. I'm just hoping Gavin isn't going to fall for Becca, because that would be way too convenient. I met Mia in the first book in this series, Dante’s Girl, and I loved her from the start. She was spunky and sassy and moody…all the things that make a character fun to read about! I was happy to hear that she was being given the opportunity to tell us her own story and I definitely enjoyed reading it! This book is about overcoming obstacles, it’s about friendship and it’s about love. What more can you ask for?In this story, Mia goes through a life-changing event…an accident that takes away her memories, not just of her past experiences but also of who she used to be. She’s left to question the world around her and to assemble her own personality from the pieces provided by others. But it’s also a fresh start, a new page…she can re-write her own story and I love that! And I love that she believes she can take the best of her old and new selves if she so chooses! Of course, lucky Mia also gets to choose between two great guys. Gavin and Quinn are both swoonworthy guys. It’s been a very long time since I’ve read a book where it took me 3/4 of the story to pick a team! Both of these guys were wonderful in their own way and helped Mia put her life back together. This is one of those rare occasions where a love triangle makes sense! Eventually, of course, I did select my favorite and so did Mia…but I won’t tell you who either of us picked so that you can make up your own mind. I was also happy to have Dante and Reece back in this book. They were the main characters in the first book and I gladly embraced their appearance in this story.Once again, the setting, a beautiful Mediterranean country, is perfect and makes you wish you were there…the characters are vivid and likeable…the book is a quick fun read…and, of course, it leaves you smiling if you love love like I do! So, what are you waiting for?
