I had such fun reading this, lots of light snowy fluffy flakes of fun.As usual, Charlie adds some very heartfelt and grounded elements that get right to the humanity of her characters. She uses imperfections and insecurities to paint gentle layers of depth to the flouncy, clever wordplay and humor of those characters and the story as a whole.Seriously, I wanna hang out with Tim. I wanna watch him get all excited over whatever next and newest project comes his way. I wanna hear him let loose a "holy holly berries" or "peppermint twist" when his elf hat gets in a twist... especially concerning Noel.And Noel. Noel, you've got a lot to make up for and I think you can and will do it. Tim sees your heart, and that makes you very, very, very lucky!Jack and Rudy, talk about a life-long commitment. Love that aspect of this story.High on humor, low on heat, sky high on heart and simply so sweet.I definitely recommend this'n. Wow! When I started reading Mending Noel by Charlie Cochet, I had no idea I would be swept up into the funny, mysterious world she created. Out of the many holiday stories I’ve read this year, Mending Noel is one of my favorites.While many elves have glamorous, fun jobs, Tim has a boring office job that he’s starting to hate. To make matters worse, Tim’s boss, Noel, seems to have it out for him. He’s constantly pushing Tim’s buttons and upsetting him, which makes his professional life even harder. What bothers Tim the most is Noel used to be nice to him, friendly even, but then one day Noel’s attitude suddenly changed toward Tim and their relationship has never been the same. After Noel’s particularly cruel trick one night, all Tim wants to do is sit in front of his fire and drink some hot cocoa. But as Tim is on his way home he runs into Noel and they witness something they shouldn’t making their lives in grave danger. Will Tim and Noel be able to escape the danger? Will they be able to work through their differences and act on the love and attraction that has really formed between them?I loved this book! There are many twists and turns to the story that really kept this reader on the edge of her seat the entire time I read it. Mending Noel is a fun, adventurous story with plenty of intrigue and romance! Between the author’s use of many seasonal characters, the witty banter and the sizzling chemistry between Tim and Noel made Mending Noel a must read for the season! HIGHLY Recommended!!
