About book Maid Of Dishonour (2013)

I liked most of it. (slight spoiler)I truly did, there was a point towards the end I though the heroine was going to get too weak but she did end up sticking up for herself and left a situation that needed some cooling down. What I didn't like though was throughout the whole book the hero had complete disregard for the heroine's wishes. Multiple times she asked him not to do things, or told him she didn't want to do things that made her uncomfortable. He keeps pushing and pushing and not taking her feelings into consideration which makes him seem a bit more selfish than I normally like. Even at the "happy" ending he is selfish, proposing in the middle of her best friend's wedding, to which he was not invited, when she made in clear she did not like all of their relationship and their past out in the open. He even announces in during the proposal in front of all of the people at the wedding about her losing the baby from 10 years ago. I would have thought a southern gentleman or a gentleman at all would have at least kept that very painful bit of their past off of the front page news.I'd say about two thirds in the book was about to lose me but the heroine showed her back bone and then the only real strong dislike I had was the ending bit. It wasn't romantic it was rude. Wow this series is a great read. So far I have enjoyed all three of the wedding series. Just thinking about picking up the fourth with Marnie and Dylan's story. If you are looking for a quick read with some fun added in read this series it has The Wedding Dress Diaries by Aimee Carson and The Unexpected Wedding Guest by Aimee Carson as well as Girl Least Likely to Marry by Amy Andrews, Maid of Dishonour by Heidi Rice and Last Groom Standing by Kimberly Lang.
