It'll anger you, but then somehow--and I really don't know how--Dreyer pulls it off. You will get on board and care. You'll end up happy for everyone, but yes, it'll be after it ticks you off. I personally took a five day break after reading some of what happens in the middle because I was not having it.I wrote up more details which I'd like to think I'll edit up out of the private notes, but please don't hold your breath. I checked this book out from the library. Someone commented that this book is like the bodice rippers of yore. I wholeheartedly agree. Sometimes, one is just in the mood for some insanity. The characters waffled between being doormats and actual strong characters. Honestly, if the book started at the climax (pun? What pun?) and then went forward and became a novella, the reading experience would have been a lot more enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend this one especially if one is allergic to the tropes of yore. Infidelity, weird sexual content and other insanities abound.
