Aileen is a sports reporter she is trying to find the story to really push her out into the big leauges. She wants people to like her for her talent and not her looks and she believes that the Santa Fe Bobcats has just the story she needs to get her out of back ground and into the spotlight.Killian is the kicker for the Santa Fe Bobcats he stays out of the spotlight refuses to do interviews, stays away from the groupies and never gets close or hangs out with his team mates.Right away Aileen knows that Killian has to be her story. She wants to be the one to tell a story that no other reporter has ever been able to get. Although Killian is just a kicker he knows how to play the field and will do anything to get Aillian off his scent and onto some other story.I really liked this book, I finished it over night, because I just had to know what Killian was hiding and why he was hiding it. Aileen is definitely my comedy relief in this book, she is sooo funny I found myself busting out with laughter. Killian is down to earth all he wants to do is play football and keep his secrets hidden. Aileen is smart, cute and has a heart of gold in a business where a lot of people become devious to get a story. I liked how 2 people that were so alone found something about each other that made them want to be more or do more not only with themselves but with each other. Jeanette did a good job, the book had many layers. There was definitely the romance, comedy, and pain coming from different characters. This book showed that being in the spotlight can be hard when you don't have someone to share it with. Great book! Killian is not your normal jock, hiding him self off from the press groupies and most anything else to keep him out of te lime life. Living in his apartment. Aileen is a report looking for a brake, her boss has her righting meaningless pieces but she still puts her whole heart in to them. When she meets killian she thinks theres a story to tell and winds him down till he agrees. All in all it was a good book,, and worth the read but not my everyday choice.
Do You like book Loving Him Off The Field (2014)?
I would have given it 4 stars but the secret about the hero's son just dragged on too long.
