This is a rather depressing story told in by a combination of flashbacks, letters, and a conversation between Stephen and Robbie. There really isn't anything happy about this book and honestly is more about life being unfair. It is well written and pulled me in weaving the various time periods together well and bringing the characters to life. But this isn't light reading and I doubt I will be re-reading it anytime soon. I just had my heart ripped out and stomped on. I was still boo hooing while I was getting ready for work this morning.It's a short read, but it defintely packs a punch. I'll be thinking about this one for awhile.The author has such a way with words and the way this story weaved in and out of past and present was superb. I absolutely loved it even though it made me so, so, sad.
Okay this story is truly a terribly sad drama. I disliked the ending, bad one indeed!
