Unfettered, this array of causes leads us to a world characterised by large inequalities, high unemployment rate, and class stratification, all this even accelerated by rapidly accelerating technology. A world not unlike "A brief history of the future" by Jacques Attali.It seems the only way out will be a more imaginative economic framework than the current one. Here, Thomas Piketty suggests progressive taxes on capital, a kind of hyped tax on wealth as exists in France and other countries.
