Truly not happy with this one. Hunt the Moon gave me hope for something more but I'm starting to wonder if Cassie is ever going to come into her own. My apologies to fans but I think this may be the book that puts me off. The novellas kept me going as they were interesting tidbits with a lot of substance and the different characters gave depth to Cassies world. I think she needs to start wearing 2 - 3 outfits everywhere she goes too cos the amount of clothes she ends up NOT wearing could fill my wardrobe for a year.Is Cassie bordering on becoming TSTL? I hope not... Being a goddess is a lot less fun than you might think. Especially when you’re only a half goddess, and you only found out about it recently, and you still don’t know what you’re doing half the time. And when you’ve just used your not-so-reliable powers to burgle the booby-trapped office of a vampire mob boss.Yeah, that part sucks.But that’s just the tip of the iceberg for Cassandra Palmer, aka the Pythia, the freshly minted chief seer of the supernatural world. After all, Cassie still has to save a friend from a fate worse than death, deal with an increasingly possessive master vampire, and prevent a party of her own acolytes from unleashing a storm of fury upon the world. Totally just your average day at the office, right?not my favourite of the Cassie Palmer books, but i still enjoyed it. i liked that Cassie was on her own, and the interaction with the witches. i wasnt keen on the demon stuff although it's in character that Cassie refuses to stop searching for Pritkin. i liked the interaction of Pritkin and Rosier, and Cassie and Artemis but the rest was a bit meh.i wish Cassie would get some time - apparently it's only been 3 months since the start of the series! - to think and learn and be taught... it seemed like she was making progress in the last book, but had taken a step back for this one.
