I enjoyed reading this very much, but I would like to have seen Asmira's character developed more. I felt the same about Nathaniel in the previous books I read. DISCLAIMER: I know zippity-poop about writing, (my English teacher weeps when she reads my blogs, I'm sure), but some authors seem to develop characters with just a few paragraphs, and while Bartimaeus is very real to me, I think some of the other main characters could be fleshed out a bit more. Pertama kali buku ini keluar di Indonesia, saya langsung buru-buru beli. Very entertaining! Buku ini memang ga ada keterkaitan dengan The Bartimaeus Trilogy, cuma peran utama nya saja yang sama, yaitu si jin Bartimaeus. Menurut saya ini novel yang easy to read dan tidak membuat otak saya berputar-putar :D Selain itu, humor yang disajikan juga beberapa kali membuat saya tertawa terbahak-bahak. Karakteristik si Bartimaeus ini memang unik, sehingga ga ada lagi tuh perspektif tentang jin yang jahat dan membosankan (menurut saya). Bartimaeus berbeda 180 derajat. Dia kocak dan juga sangat berbeda dari makhluk-makhluk sejenis nya. Recommended bgt! Menurut saya para readers akan dapat mudah memahami cerita di novel ini walaupun belum membaca The Bartimaeus Trilogy :)
