An absolute mindblowing read.Truly showcases the outermost limits of 3 dimensional space. And the eventual transcendence of humanity in a technologically post-Singularity era.The closing remark of: "Let there be light!" truly sets for an unexpected experience from the AC(analytical computer). And so, of the many questions that humanity will ask, the one that will bother this hypothetical computer the most will be, how to defy entropy. I didn't get it. Maybe it has aged a lot. Too many movies that make use of the full circle have probably blunted it for me. Before the circle came upon the scene though, I was having a bit of fun. The story, as I saw it, is about folks who want to live- and their energy resources to last- forever. They become exponentially smart by the passage of time and generations, but their desire to live forever continues to remain! This is ludicrous, since everyone knows that the moment man gets smarter he'll realize that life isn't worth living and that the only reason for consciousness to have evolved is so that he can realize the futility of existence and bring himself to an end.
