About book La Hija De Cleopatra (2013)

I enjoyed this book and intend to read the rest of the series.spoilers ahead-Some people complained that there is magic in the book. I liked it.Secondly, an author's note at the end explains that the author omitted Marcella Major from the story for brevity. I researched online and it turns out that Marcella Major married Agrippa first, not the marriage that happens in the book (I don't want to give it details because I don't want to ruin the surprise of who married Agrippa in the book). My research also showed that Iullus married Marcella Major after she and Agrippa divorced. As you can tell, Having Marcella Major in the story would have made it so that the story would have stayed closer to the truth. I just don't understand why she kept her out unless she felt it would be confusing to have an Antonia Major and Minor and to have a Marcella Major and Minor. I did like, however, that Iullus and Julia had a relationship in the book because they did in real life (much later) while after Julia's husband Agrippa died and after she divorced Tiberius. Historical fiction from the view of Selene, daughter of Cleopatra of Egypt.Has mystical, political, historical and cultural elements interweaved into the story. However, there are times when it seemed that the sentiments of the 21st century made their way into this story of 2000 years ago. For example, an emperor refers to himself as "middle class" which is a popular term that politicians of today use. Was there a self-identified "middle class" in Rome at that time?Selene is a rather ambivalent, wishy-washy character so I found myself liking Julia with her strong feelings more. So, yeah, maybe Selene was young and struggling to figure out what's right, but she seemed rather weak.Hopefully she is stronger in the sequel.

Do You like book La Hija De Cleopatra (2013)?

I felt like I'd already read this before and it dragged on. No desire to read the sequel.
