About book Kris Jenner-- And All Things Kardashian. Kris Jenner (2012)
Not that I expected this to be a masterpiece, but it probably could have been about 100 pages shorter. And while I get that it's an autobiography, Kris really does make every thing about her, and it just gets old. Every time she talks about an achievement of one of her children she has to go on and on about how this made her be a better person. I do love the Kardashians, but this just didn't seem to fit the Kris Jenner TV personality I'm used to, and while that isn't totally shocking, it goes against everything she says their show is--real and organic. I'm not sure my fascination with the Kardashian family but I was hooked when I started reading this book.In order to enjoy this book, you must really take it at face value. Kris Jenner is not pretending the lifestyle they life is attainable or common. In fact, she mentions that Kim Kardashian slept in a Dior nightgown her first night home from the hospital while two Rolls Royce's (one black and one white) slept in the garage. The book isn't really about the Kardashian sisters or their shows as much as it is about Kris Jenner's first marriage to Robert Kardashian, her famous friends and the OJ Simpson trial. Still, I found it interesting and worthwhile as a viewer of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the spin-off shows.

As much as she'd like us to believe the Kardashians are a humble family, they are not.
