Sometimes I don't know how books get on my reader. I have literally hundreds of books on my reader to choose from, and I'm constantly adding more. At some point, I added Knife Music based on a recommendation.The cover is a detractor. Thank god I have an e-reader or I'd never carry this book around. It looks like some cheesy tween novel. But once I cracked it open, it drew me in immediately. The plot is engaging, and you are concerned about the main characters - which to me is a the recipe for a good book. However, the ended was anti-climactic. All in all, this is a good read, but I'd keep it in the "beach book" category. This is one of those books I feel kind of guilty about. I stuck with it to the end and enjoyed parts of it very much but I did not pay close attention. I had never read any Carnoy before. Had I bought this book, I would have been far more disappointed but, I borrowed it from the library and it was not a total waste of time. Grown men and young girls and rape or maybe not. I think really I did not like or respect any of the characters. But it was not a total loss.

This book had many twists and turns. Good book. Had to read to the end to figure out who did it.
