The love scenes were very well-written, and readers can feel the emotions between Amanda and Johnny. The rest of the plot regarding the antagonist, is interesting, but somewhat predictable. Regardless, the book is one that will keep readers turning the pages. I recommend it for those who enjoy romance and paranormal romance. I liked the story. It was a little slow for me at the beginning and maybe that was because he was so hard on her. I especially liked Laura. She came across as a very well balanced child who wanted her dad happy. It was a little strange for me that she didn't miss her mom, but that was for about 5 seconds until you realized she had plenty of other people who filled a woman's place in her life.I did find JT a little dense when it came to Randal...I love my family, but not to the point where I could not see what they are capable of especially since Randal did not hide it. Now a couple of things that I still shake my head about...1)what I don't quite get is that she was his soulmate, but he fought his feelings for her for nearly the entire book and yes, I know he didn't know that she was his soulmate, but the attraction was fiercely there...yet the plan was he was supposed to marry and have more children with another woman? If he could fight his soulmate that badly, I cannot see him with another woman. And 2), why it took so long to act against Randal at the end was pretty strange to me...he had ahold of her wrist and could have broken it, but shatter? Aside from that, it was a cute book and I am glad they did end up together.
