I actually feel dumber for having read this book. I picked it up for 80¢ at a thrift store so I won't hate myself too much.I've read reviews of some books I have liked where the reviewer criticized the writing; now it's my turn. This entire book seemed as if it was written in dialogue; it was like reading a screen play or play minus the stage directions. Delaney talks to real people, spirits, her dogs and herself. And talks and talks and talks and.... I just didn't think it was as good as Cassidy's Ex-Trophy Wives Club. A little hard to follow in places and the ending and I mean the very ending wasn't all that. He's a demon, he's not a demon, he's half demon...nobody knows. She speaks with ghosts, she doesn't understand ghosts, she doesn't speak to ghosts. All this and Lucifer. Just wasn't working for me. Also, Archangel Uriel as a surfer dude was totally inappropriate and lost it's appeal immediately. Really disappointed in this one.
