Erin Behr3/28/13Period 3Confessions of a Teen Nanny: Juicy SecretsNanny Liz Braun’s rich boyfriend, Parker Devlin, has a secret- one so big that he won’t share it with anyone. When the secret is spread all over the news, all of Parker’s so called “friends” don’t talk to him anymore. Parker is so hurt that he doesn’t talk to Liz anymore- who is the only person who can help. Liz’s best friend, Adrienne Lewis, takes care of Emma Warner after school. Emma has a secret too, and she says it’s about Adrienne. But what would she know? Emma’s sister Cameron also has juicy secrets. But her two juiciest ones are about Parker and Adrienne!Confessions of a Teen Nanny is a very descriptive book. The characters are well explained and I feel like I know the characters personally. Victorian Ashton described Adrienne as a well-dressed, smart, and friendly girl. The settings of the book are just as well described. Although the book took place in New York City and it is very large, I felt like I knew exactly where the author was trying to have the scene take place. When reading Confessions of a Teen Nanny, I came to like the characters. All the characters had different personalities. Liz is a sweet and charming girl while Parker is good looking and everyone falls in love with him. I liked all the characters because every one of them had a characteristic that made the story exciting. My favorite character was Cameron because everybody hated her so she did crazy things to get people to like her- which made the story exciting. This book is filled with drugs and people doing things they shouldn’t be doing. A lot of the characters have personal and social problems so they resort to drugs. The book can get very intense at times so this is why I would not recommend this book to younger children. I would recommend this book to seventh and eighth grade girls because a lot of things that happen in the book they can relate to. The book has a lot of backstabbing which occurs a lot for girls this age. Although the outline of the story can be bad, at the end of the book, it has good lessons and teaches you a lot about why things are so harmful and you shouldn’t do them.
This book is the sequel to Rich Girls. It is about that Parker has a sectret he's hiding from Liz and due to a promise, Adrienne has to go out on a date with Graydon, Cameron's brother. Parker always have some kind of phone calls that he has to take, even in the middle of an date. Soon, Parker starts to skip school and not even pick up his phone calls. Later, everyone found out that his family went bankrupt, and now he isn't rich anymore. Adrienne went on the forced date with Graydon, and surprisingly she enjoyed it. She enjoyed it so much, she fell in love woth Graydon and soon they were going out. When Peincess Mimi got chosen for the Debutante of the Year, Cameron vowed to get that position back. To do that, she made Mimi look really bad by spreading rumors and switching her essay on kings for a craapy one. When Adrienne told Liz that she's ready to go deeper into her relationship with Graydon, Emma overheard and showed her privatate conversations she taped from Graydon and Cameron. Adreienne found out that cameron made a bet with Grydon; if he could seduce Adrienne she would give him her car. Seeking revenge, Adrienne gave the tapes to Mimi, who later played it during the Benefit Commitee. Everyone was there, and everyone heard it so Cameron's reputation is ruined, and Adreinne and Liz is happy once again.

considering that i finished this book before the gossip girl, i really see the flip side of what how the "other side lives". i was really duped by author's emotionaly appeal. i thought that a so called "bad guy" can change...turns out not. at least in this book. the one thing that kept me from being totally disappionted was that in the end she realized her friendship was the most important thing and that people that use her to get what they want out of other people is not what she wanted to do. wealth can't buy happineiess as the protaganist learns to accept. no matter how much she get payed for her nanny job, it is not worth it to lose her friendships.i loved how the protaganist babysits a 8 year old that has a SAT vocabluary...i wish i was like that.
