I can tell just reading the first few paragraphs that this book was not for me. I prefer strong writing and character building to melodramatic writing. Does this remind me of Twilight? In a way, yes. Twilight was well written, though it gave unrealistic expectations of romance. Indelible Love had me rolling my eyes early on and I could not suspend disbelief. I do think that with a little work, the author could be the next Stephenie Meyer. ugh. this story had so very little excitement. Jake is perfect, his entire family is perfect, everyone in the entire world seems to love Emily. seriously, other than Hawaii, they spent maybe 4 or 5 hours together before breaking up for 6 months. not only was the pining constant and annoying, every single person she talked to after the reunion had to tell us again. and I'm sorry but she talked with Gram for all of two minutes on the phone and she instantly loved Emily and gave up a prized family heirloom so Jake could marry her despite how shaky their relationship was. and could he have been any more posessive? he never let her spend more than five minutes with anyone. that's not cute or sweet. the cherry on top is Emily's first love of her life ending up with her new sister-in-law so they can all be one big happy family.
