Lost dogs and Lonely Hearts eli suomeksi Eksyneiden sydänten koti. Ainut miinus oli, että kirjaa lukiessa olisi heti halunnut ruveta adoptoimaan koira ja pari muutakin eläintä =DHieno luku aloitus täälle vuodelle, yksi parhaimmista ja kauneimmista kirjoista, joita olen lukenut =) I think this is a truly exceptional story. I suppose that if you must categorize it into a genre, it could be thought of as romance, but that just does not do it justice. There are no steamy love scenes with mind-blowing sex, and the people are not beautiful or rich. There are instead a group of people and a group of home-less dogs. This is a story of people who grow and change because they want to and because they need to. This is a story about people with children, people without children who want them and can't have them, people having children they never planned to have. It's about people who are unfaithful to their spouses, and about children who are struggling to understand divorce and step-parents. But through it all, there is love, and commitment, and hard work, and successes and...joy. I call the book exceptional because it is very rare to find an author who can write a story about real life, that is neither continuously depressing nor continual bliss. Lucy Dillon is among those rare authors can portray real life's up's, down's, and in-betweens, while ultimately showing the reader that despite the struggles, love in all it's forms, is the best gift there is. A big well done to Lucy Dillon.
