About book Ierse Betovering (2014)

Second to last book in this series - the whole clan takes a Christmas vacation back in the old country. Of course it concludes with another wedding and more new babies being announced. Ultimately the theme is families with all the quirks and at times the dysfunctionalities - if there is such a word. Though we all wish and hope for perfect family relationships and harmony / no such thing exists in real life. Discord and disagreements are inevitable and part of family life. Perhaps that is why we read novels whereby a happy ending is always a certainty. So on to the final book in the series. This was an unusual romance novel. We know how it is going to turn out between the main characters of Laila Riley, a banker, and Matthew O'Brien, an architect and playboy; however, I found myself compelled to read each sentence to make 'sure' it was going the way I wanted it to. Good writing.Laila joins the O'Brien family on a holiday trip to Dublin, Ireland. We readers, find ourselves amongst multiple romantic strings. Even the Matriarch of the family is caught up in long ago romances. Babies? Marriages? Engagements? All and more are possible in this holiday novel that is enjoyable all year long!Ms. Woods never disappoints.
