I love Jaci Burton and all of her books and series. This is a story in the new Hope Series - a quick read and novella! It is the story of Jane and Will. Jane is single mom who divorced her husband because he was into drugs and was destroying their life. Will was the ex husband's best friend. After meeting up Will knew that Jane was a good woman and mom. He was instantly attracted to her and stopped and nothing to prove to her she could have a good man and good father figure for her kids! Nice intro to a new Jaci Burton series! The whole feel of this novella was very different than her Play by Play series, it was sweeter. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the series stays that way. I'm looking forward to finding out!Will was Jane's ex-husband's friend, so they had known each other for years. But when they run into each other a couple of years after the divorce, Will sees not the ex of a friend, but a beautiful woman. He pursues Jane and with some encouragement, she gives in. Much of the novella is her overcoming her past, but it was not overwhelming. I think most people would react as she did, so some hesitancy and reserve. I'm sure we will see them again - I hope so! I would like to see them to move from 'I love you' to a settled HEA!
