I read this book in about six hours. I enjoyed the story and its characters. It was steamy in all the right places but essentially this is about a couple who have a one night stand and suddenly develop deep feelings which I find a little hard to believe. I think maybe a little more character development or history on the front end of the story would make it better. I would have given it four stars if I had been more emotionally invested. I'm done with this series. This book was better than the previous, although it's not hard to improve on terrible. I get that the heroine is supposed to be strong and independent, but putting yourself in danger out of spite is just dumb. The hero is supposed to be manly and possessive, but he just comes across as a big baby who gets angry whenever he doesn't get his way. "Oh, you put yourself in danger SEVERAL YEARS AGO? Now I'm pissed and we're going to have sex!" It's ridiculous.
