Cowboys...my weakness; and this book has several of them. Cole's wife died in a car accident...he blames himself; Jordan's husband was shot in front of her during a robbery...she lived. Jordan has worked through her pain and is trying to move one while Cole will not...he won't even talk to his family. They were once good friends and Jordan had a crush on Cole, so when Cole's parents have their 40th anniversary Jordan's family is invited to help plan the party. Their parents have a hidden agenda for Cole and Jordan...and it's not celebrating the anniversary. 3.5 stars but not enough to round up to 4This story was just okay for me. I like strong female characters but I found Jordan to be overbearing and just down right annoying at times. A few times when she was running her mouth off, I literally found myself saying 'would you just shut up'!On the flip side, I loved that she wasn't afraid to take charge in the bedroom. The sex scenes were smoking hot; the chemistry between Cole and Jordan was tangible.Sex scenes aside, not much of the story held my attention and I found myself skimming at times; never a good thing.The story had it's share of editing errors, but that seems to be a common occurrence when buying ebooks.
