About book Heaven Is For Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story Of His Trip To Heaven And Back (2010)
After seeing the movie of the same name-I had to find this book-so I finally ordered it from NLS and could not put it down. How best to really know Heaven when it is through the eyes of a child-a three year old child at that-who over time told his remarkable experiences to his father, a Pastor, and his mother, a school teacher. I think we all at times wonder what it is like once we are there or when a loved one passes, we often wonder if we shall be reunited with them again. Also, do our pets go to heaven? This book was fascinating and has solidified my firm belief in an after-life after this life. I found it inspiring. If you wonder about heaven, I suggest you check this little book out-though it only took 4 hours to listen to it-it has given me a lifetime of wonder. I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read about a near death experience from the eyes of a child. Colton Burpo was only 3 years old when he went to the hospital for what was thought to be the flu. Colton needed surgery on his appendix. The look in his eyes prior to surgery was death. Colton comes out of surgery and bounces back quickly. Colton doesn't talk right away about his exeprience of meeting Jesus, God and others after he is home from surgery. It takes awhile before he says things that his parents mull over after hearing it. That is when the start to realize that something extraordinary happened to their child.
