Another great short in the "Out of Uniform" series. Our lucky SEAL who is captured by love this time is Ryan. Ryan is looking for a quick hook-up so naturally he heads to the girl he and his roommate has been tag-teaming for the last few weeks; she conveniently lives on the floor above them. Using the spare key, Ryan slips into bed in the middle of the night and gets the shock of his life when he realizes this is not his bootycall girl. Annabelle decides to stay at her best friend's apartment after her longtime fiance dumps her saying she is not sexually adventurous enough and he needs to explore. It's a perfect time to hide out at her friend's since she just picked up and eloped with her estranged boyfriend and the apartment is empty. In her frustration, she's made a list of all the sexual adventures she wants to have but her fiance would never try. What happens when Ryan accidentally comes into possession of this list during his quick retreat? Thankfully for Annabelle, Ryan has a photographic memory and a desire to help her achieve everything on that list...including a menage a trois with his roomie Matt. Of course somewhere along the way, Ryan and Annabelle fall in love but all is not smooth sailing. Ryan from from a dirt poor family while Annabelle is richie-rich. Her former boyfriend decides he wants her back, her parents don't approve and both Ryan's and Annabelle's insecurities get in the way. I loved Ryan, who was willing to do anything to make Annabelle happy whether it was sharing her with his roommate or leaving her because he wasn't good enough. I was so disappointed in this book....I had read three others from this series and went back to some of the earlier ones to fill in the gaps which was obviously a mistake. I felt that the only storyline was what was in the review and nothing more and there was barely anything 'hot' in it too.My biggest annoyance was that it finished at 83% on my Kindle which felt like I was cheated! Samhain Publishing seem to think this is a good way to sell us more books but at the end they promoted the previous book (again - another weird thing they do).
Do You like book Heat Of The Night (2010)?
I enjoyed this series. They are short, hot reads. IMO, the series gets better with each book.
