Wow! I enjoyed this book more than any I've read in a long time. While Priscilla Shirer writes in an easy-to-read style, there was so much I wanted to absorb, I found myself going back and re-reading large portions of the book, looking up the verses referenced, and taking notes.The book is based on Ephesians 3:20-21, and the author unwraps the verse one or two words at a time. Just a few of my favorite excerpts: "Sometimes His best work is not what He does FOR us but what He does INSIDE us." "God doesn't HAVE power; He IS power. He is the all-powerful One." and "When we become a gathered group of testifying brothers and sisters - truly praying, truly believing, truly supporting each other, truly rejoicing - the world around us won't be able to keep from hearing about it and gathering around to see it. And God in heaven will bask in the glory, then draw all men unto Himself."This is one I will definitely be re-reading. Written in a friendly, approachable style, Ms. Shirer engaged me completely as a reader. I was sent this book to review (by the publisher) and didn’t currently have an It to talk about. You know, the big issue that has you picking up the book. I had just come out of another scare where God came through. But I had to keep reading. This book will be useful for anyone facing something that they are stressing about whether God can handle it or not, or well, anyone to have on their shelves or church library shelves, because we’ll all face those times over and over and over when we can’t completely hand it over to God. Great book. Highly recommended. $12.99. 176 pages. 5 stars.
