Ghost Hunter, the last book in The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, absolutely had me hooked. I loved all the detail, descriptions and action as always and I could not stop reading it! It's a disappointment that I've finished such an amazing series, but I still have the opportunity to read it again - and it's definitely worth doing so! I highly recommend this series to anyone of around 10+. The books were all a great read and I definitely won't forget it! This book was a fairly mediocre ending to a series that I think dragged on for a bit too long. Torak goes off on an adventure to try and vanquish the souleaters or whatever and leaves Renn behind (I was getting a slight feeling of deja vu at this point),they somehow get reunited (I was quite bored already by this point so I can't remember all the details), Wolf turns up and they go and kill the evil owl woman who wants to take over the forest, there's also some boy in a cave with a white raven but I can't remember much about that either, then in the end they go back to the Ravens but Torak decides not to stay with them as they all think he's creepy cause he's the Spirit Walker so he goes off on his own AGAIN but then, as usual, Renn turns up and they set out with their growing motley crew of wolves and ravens or whatnot to live on their own in the forest. This book had a few good points; the quality of writing, which had been good for the whole series, never wavered and there were more chapters written from Wolf's point of view which made it more interesting. The predictable romance between Torak and Renn was vaguely adorable but I think we'd all seen that coming since about halfway through Book #1. Overall, I think this series just went on for too long and this last book, while having some good points, was too repetitive, I probably would've found it more exciting two or three years ago when I was slightly less intelligent and much less cynical.
