I really enjoyed this book.It was well written, with a charm that made it easy to climb into the character's head. I love dual POVs and enjoyed the scenes from the distinctive voices of the H & h. Parts of the book had my heart aching so kudos to Ms McCallan for immersing the reader to the point that sections of the story hurt and broke your heart.Also... Hello Commander Zane and the Hot Brigade! I loved the Badassedness of these guys and enjoyed a heroine who did not suffer from the TSTL syndrome and is quite likable in her own right. The guys come across as real and gritty, with clear knowledge of dangerous situations. Beth is easy to relate to and despite her sometimes frustrating resistance is no Mary Sue. I felt her HEA was well earned.And I especially enjoyed the supernatural element that was woven into the story. Nicely done!My thanks to the author for writing and I'll definitely be following this series. Psychic Navy SEALs. Let me say that again: psychic Navy SEALs. What a deliciously bonkers concept. And it was relatively well pulled off...There's no escaping the fact that this book is silly but boy did it make for compulsive reading. The central pair are quite bland but I enjoyed their interactions and the journey to HEA was peppered with terrorists so that certainly helped with interest levels. However the supporting cast were fantastic and I reeeeally want to read the next book. I also loved that a big plot thread remains unresolved, not what I was expecting.
I don't know what it was about this book , but i could not get into it at all.
