I received a print copy in exchange for an honest review. Forged in Ash is the second Red Hot Seals book in the series. I really liked this story, although there were quite a few things I didn't find believable and more than a few other things over bearing I did find heart in the characters and I like that kind of thing. Although I was a bit confused because I wasn't sure if the book was supposed to be Contemporary or Fantasy/ Paranormal because there were a few things that seemed to skirt close to the other genre, it pulled together well. I wish I had gotten to see more development between the main characters Kait and Cosky because I felt the story was lacking the build up of intimacy between them despite the sex. Overall I was happy with Forged in Ash but I felt there was quite a bit unresolved in the end so I am hoping that the next installment will tie that up. Good and not-so-great but the overall story arc has me hooked. The individual romance... well, it didn't feel so individual. I've enjoyed many a 'paranormal' romance series where each book centers around a main couple but other couples are hinted at or past couples' futures further explained; this one just was throwing too many hints. But, overall it was still worth listening to. The narrator is fast becoming a favorite of mine as well.
Do You like book Forged In Ash (2014)?
I liked this one a bit less than the first in the series, but I do plan on reading the next one.
