I downloaded this book on my new Ipad because it was free, and the cover seemed to promise some of the smuttiness of the 50 Shades Trilogy. And while those books weren't literary genius material, I found them enjoyable.I was surprised by how much I actually liked this book! Less smutty than 50 Shades, but used in a more effective manner. I also found that the writing was really solid.The characters were somewhat weird, and without a lot of the back story (constantly mentioned, but didn't give much detail other than to say "hey, this happened")I didn't understand their motivations. Although, since this is a series of books, I assume that the back story will be covered in the later books.Is this serious literature? No. Is it a fun read? Yes. I read it over the course of a couple of hours, and found myself looking forward to reading the others. More like 3 1/2 stars.I think Hudson was a bit too much like Gideon. I don't know if the author tried to make him sound as beautiful and powerful as Gideon, but he just wasn't. Alayna was to clingy, even though she does tell us right from the start that being too obsessed as a huge problem of hers. She just came across to me as a whiner and kind of weak. Over all I did enjoy the story, and I already started part 2 Found in You.
