I REALLY ENJOYED THIS. I DON'T CARE. LEAVE ME ALONE. I REALISED WHAT THE PRAVUS MEANT, AND THE CONNECTION TO THAT OTHER SERIES, ONLY ON THE LAST PAGE OR TWO. IT WAS AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE.end capslock of defense. i genuinely enjoyed this story. it felt lumpy, but the 'twist' kind of took me by surprise (i had suspected, but not to that level) and how the characters reacted to it in the final book really surprised me. no happy ending, and i was preparing myself for illogical and halfbaked resolutions. i wish there had been more of a.. de-evolution of their relationship, as the sudden change DID feel a bit out of left field even considering what had been done. maybe even just a longer, more poignant confrontation in those final pages to set up the root of hatred. but dammit i enjoyed this. This book is about thirteen year old boy learning how to be a vampire slayer.I guess the setting is like modern times, because the book has things we have today. It all starts by Joss and his loving family sleeping. He suddenly hears his little sister scream, her name was Cecile.Yes that right was, as in past tense. You see Cecile didn’t scream because of a nightmare, she screamed because her life was slowly fading away.A vampire snuck in her room and did what vampires do best.Joss swore vengeance against the vampire, but in this book vampires can implant things in your mind and confuse you.Later on Joss’s Uncle Abraham notices that Joss was meant to be a slayer.Abraham said it’s just something you notice not decide. From there on Joss is put to the most crucial training you could imagine, just to have vengeance for his little sister,Cecile. The most disturbing, yet amazing part about this book is the writing. The author made me feel like I was watching a movie! There was a part when Cecile had come to life (only in Joss’s mind though) where she was haunting Joss for allowing her to die.I’m not kidding I felt like I was watching it live! One thing I wished the author did was,to make Joss and Kat date.I was so disappointed when it didn’t work out.I hope people can and will appreciate this book. The only reason I haven’t suggested my books is because they’re a little on the dark side.Other than that these books can be pretty relatable, and fun.
Do You like book First Kill (2011)?
I couldn't really generate enough interest in the characters, especially Joss, to finish this.
