About book Finding Casey (2012)

Sequel to Solomon's Oak. Juniper's story continues in New Mexico where the family has moved and she is now enrolled in college. She is still haunted by her lost family and especially memories of her sister, Casey who disappeared without a trace more than a decade ago. A malnourished and almost silent woman comes to a local hospital with her gravely ill daughter. Aspen has a history of seizures and is currently in a coma. A patient female psychologist draws Laurel out and eventually learns that she is the kidnapped Casey who has been held captive by a fringe new age 'pastor' at a remote commune called "the Farm".Good story with many interesting characters and lots of passionate characters to include Juniper's adoptive parents Glory and Joseph and rival boyfriend candidates. An enjoyable book about the lives of Glory & Joseph in Santa Fe, an unexpected pregnancy at 41, and the journey of their adopted college-age daughter Juniper who is struggling to deal with the loss of her sister who disappeared years earlier. It is also the story of Laurel in an abusive sect-like commune and her struggle to care for and protect her daughter. A quick read, insightful and compelling.

Great Sequel! I hope it becomes a Trilogy so I can learn more about Aspen and Sparrow.
