The title is totally inappropriate, since the main character is pregnant and should not be wearing high heels! This is another one of the fluffy type books--well, murder isn't fluffy but... Her husband the police officer apparently can't keep her from finding crime scenes. Dana is a buff type girl friend, and Marco is one shade away from being gay. There are two bodies found, and a semi surprise at the end. I was really liking the High Heels Mystery series. They easy reads but I feel like the main character was thrown in with her leading man too quickly and too easily. There was a short reference of a possible love triangle with Felix in the previous couple of books but it never even stemmed in the slightest. And this last book didn't have any mention of him. As much as I do like Maddie and Ramirez together I just felt like it was just done too easily.
This book disappointed me. It lacked substance and was extremely predictable.
