I got this book from the kindle daily deals. I didn't know who Kelly Oxford was but I liked the explanation of the book. Well, I didn't find the stories were well written. The stories were crass, more than they needed to be, and didn't flow together. She didn't seem to have a real purpose in telling us the stories she selected. It felt the stories were the only interesting stories in her life (especially the exaggerated kid stories).At least it was an easy read? My best friend lent me this book and it did not disappoint. Before I read this book I had no idea who Kelly Oxford was. This book's collections of essays were really funny and had me laughing out loud on my bus commute to and from work. As I am not familiar with her Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr, I can't compare her book to the stuff that has made her famous. This was a light, funny read and was the perfect summer read!
Funny, quirky, humiliating, and a little trashy sometimes. I laughed out loud, more than once.
