Ok, I'm glad I finished it. I expected it to be much more romantic because I've read Needing Nita which was very sexy although a quick read. It started out interesting then it slowed down and took me a week to finish.Cal and Lauren are likable but their attraction wasn't as explosive as I'd have liked. The story was interesting but some of it felt like the author was trying to educate the reader on veterinary medicine and cattle ranches.Definitely okay for a free read on Amazon Prime but glad I didn't buy it. Some say being psychic is a gift , but those are the people who don't have it. For people like Lauren who have the gift, it is a curse. Shunned by her family, friends and even her ex-fiance Lauren has grown up with having to keep her curse under wraps as not many people can fully understand the extent of what happens and most just label her weird and crazy. When Lauren gets a vision of a woman being strangled at a cowboy ranch , she decides to use her vacation leave and stop the murder before it happens. It's the only way as she has contacted police before and they have looked at her like they want to lock her up in the looney bin. When Lauren gets to the ranch, there is no-one matching her dream girl who is murdered but she has seen someone she fancies - Cal ( the owner of the ranch). All is not to last though as the next morning she spots the murder victim arguing with Cal - who happens to be her ex-husband. Is Cal the killer ? Read as new suspects occur and Lauren at the most annoying of times , has a few more visions occur. Can Lauren warn her dream girl before it's too late and will Cal who Lauren has fallen in love with believe her or take one look at her when she tells him the truth and run away like her ex-fiance did ?Every Breath She Takes was a great mystery with a touch of psychicness and fans of the TV Show Medium will enjoy.
