About book Evadiendo Los Problemas (2012)

Really enjoyed this book. The first half was somewhat slow, but then the story picked up..I loved Kurt. He was so damn sweet and nice...I was in such a worry over him - it was really difficult for him to come to terms with the truth about himself, and do all this alone. I'd have resented Davy for not offering any support to Kurt, but I understood Davy's fears, too. My only quibble is not seeing enough of Davy&Kurt together, as a couple. I give this one a high 3, maybe 3.75 but at the same time a low 3 for frustration levels. This has been on my radar for a bit but put of reading it as frequently in mm, grief is quickly put on the back burner due to new love interest and it all seems a bit too ridiculous when someone falls in love only a month or two after losing a partner/going through giant trauma. to be honest, timeframes are a pet peeve as many mm books only run over a few weeks. seriously, it doesn't cost anything to jump a few months in a couple of paras. anyway, having said that, the blurb for this sells itself short (spoilers ahead). It becomes obvious quite quickly that a main theme of this novel revolves around Davy's healing after living in an abusive relationship for ten years (emotional not physical but no less horrific really considering how completely isolated ben made him). the romance is very slow moving but to be honest all the more authentic for it. I really wanted to slap Kurt often as his self-denial became frustrating, but again, more realistic. all in all a satisfying read and on sale till sunday at DSP (i read the spanish translation).

Do You like book Evadiendo Los Problemas (2012)?

A cute read that's a lot more believable than other Romance books. Kind of a rushed ending though.
