About book El éxtasis De Gabriel (2013)

This second book of the Gabriel trilogy finds us in Florence and Umbria, in which Professor Gabriel Emerson is right at home. In this part of the story, Gabriel experiences happiness, but through loss, finds his way to the beginning of redemption. Sylvain Renard paints a vivid picture, so you can 'see' each scene in your head, you can hear the music, and smell the smells. Now I want to see the Botticelli Room at the Uffizi Gallery for myself! This read well and I liked it yet I still have it only 2 stars and here's the reason why.... The story was utterly derivative. I've read this story innumerable times. Boy thinks there's danger, boy tries to save girl (by making the wrong choice), girl doesn't understand but it all works out it the end. The book in a nutshell (and who didn't see this coming a mile away...) That said, I did like the book. The redeeming quality, the very thing that makes me able to say I liked this book, was that it didn't wrap up as nearly as these stories typically do. The mess that is Julia and Gabriel isn't w neat package and the bad helps them to realize that they need help in order to have a health relationship (what!?!) Prior to the mess, their affection was based on imagined ideals and obsession. The mess was necessary for these two to get where they eventually did.

The book starts so promising with a whole lot of love and happiness and than it goes wrong...Communication is so important and Gabriel wasn't good at it in this book at some point hurting Julia a lot.Stupid man.It takes her a lot of pain and a lot of time to forgive him.I liked reading this book, I think it is as good as the first book in these series.Only thing what could have been better is the hot moments told in more detail
