The Ring meets MK Ultra. This thriller is not for the squeamish. I picked this book up because it is a hit in Europe, and will be made into a film. Characters from two of Thilliez's series work together in this novel. To say that his detectives are quirky would be an understatement. This was a fast paced tale of murder and psychological manipulation. I was actually familiar with most of the experiments and programs mentioned in this novel, but it was still an interesting, albeit far-fetched premise. It was hard to get into it at first but now... Oh god. The all book is perfect. It was my first thriller and I'm not dissapointed at all by Franck Thilliez! Syndrome E is kinda stressfull as a book, because you need to put all your soul in the story to understand and to feel what's going on. It learned me new scientific words, and after that read I feel like I can become a cop or a scientific! 4 big stars!
