Mab är dotter till Josephine Darly, häxan som dödade Sillas föräldrar och bror i förra boken. Mab har också krafter och sysslar med blodsmagi, men hon använder det till att göra gott. En dag bestämmer hon sig för att använda magin för att ta hand om några rosor som verkar orsaka olika sorters obehag hos personerna som bor i Rosa huset. Men hennes besvärjelse slår fel och Will, en pojke från samma ort, blir påverkad av den på något sätt. Nu måste Mab lista ut vad som har gått fel för att kunna rädda Will.Jag fick inget riktigt grepp om den här boken kändes det som, handlingen tilltalade mig inte riktigt och det kändes som om det spretade åt många olika håll. Det var egentligen de sista 100 sidorna som det blev riktigt spännande. Boken får ett mittenbetyg, hade jag kunnat sätta 2,5 hade jag gjort det. Let me begin with Blood Magic: I read it not all that long ago. I don't remember the plot, to be precise, just fragments and being disappointed with the ending.Which means I was reluctant to pick up The Blood Keeper; but I am glad I did.Firstly - I enjoyed the plot, the pace and the love/confession letter dotted throughout the book. I liked Mab, to an extent, although her character fell flat against the description of literal "blood magic."I liked the male lead, Will. However, like Mab, I felt like his character got lost in this new world and I felt like his quest at finding "who he was and what he wanted" fell short. Surely he would end up with Mab, on her land with little magical kiddies running around?As always, the romance in this book was rushed, lots of hand holding and smirking confessions to family and friends before the reader even knew if it was going to happen or not. Eek.I'll give The Blood Keeper 3 1/2 stars because I didn't hate it, I was kept interested and I liked the ending (not the climax per se), but definitely the ending.
