This is the third Karen Mcquestion book I have read, or rather listened to, and I enjoyed it. Yes, the story is a bit predictable like others said, but it was entertaining all the same. Sometimes you just want to be entertained and be left feeling good, this book surely did that. In fact, I listened to it while having a series of dental procedures, and it was entertaining enough keep my focus on the story, and when I missed a sentence it was not a big deal. I have to admit when I first started this book I didn't like it. I really didn't like the h at first. But the more I read I got into it and I liked it. I love the fact that the h started taking up for herself with her sister. She started growing as a person and became more likable and less selfish. I also loved the dynamic of the people in the neighborhood. They were like a giant family. This is one of those books that doesn't really have a genre. I guess you would consider it a chick lit? Whatever it was I'm glad that I read it. I just wish we could have gotten an epilogue in the end. I want to see where the characters are in their lives. It kinda ended, not really abruptly and not really open ended, just left you wanting more of the story. That's all I can say about the ending without giving spoilers away. I would recommend this book to those who like this sort of fiction.
