Another book in the Chesapeake Shores series. This book was about Connor O'Brien and his love Heather Donovan. The problem was that Connor did not believe in marriage and even after he and Heather having their son, he still was not a candidate for marriage. His Mom and Dad had caused him not to believe in forever after even though they finally remarried after many years. Heather decided that even though she had gone into this relationship with her eyes wide open, she was ready for "forever after" and left with their son to Connor's home town of Chesapeake Shores. Even with the family butting in at every opportunity, Heather had quite a uphill challenge but she knew that Connor was forth it or that she would just have to go on without him. That was up to Connor. The writing style was quite good,but... Nothing. Happened. In the entire book. I liked the characters but wanted to throttle the heroine because she seemed so mealy mouthed. Argh! It was like déjà vu in every scene with the family members meddling and the same conversation taking place between the protagonists. I'm not understanding the average 4 star rating, and I am typically a very generous rater.
Do You like book Driftwood Cottage (2011)?
Sherryl Woods' writing reminds me a lot of Debbie Macomber's writing. I enjoyed this book.
