About book Délicieuse Soumission (2013)

This is a VERY SHORT novella from the incomparable Tiffany Reisz. I had just finished The Mistress after a several week bender (after discovering this wonderful author) where I read all four of The Original Sinners series back to back. In between those four books, I read all the free novellas that Ms. Reisz had on her website...I just couldn't get enough. But felt myself near despondent at the end of The Mistress (partially due to the ending -- bad Ms. Reisz, bad!). I couldn't just have these wonderful characters leave my world after a month saturated in it -- and the prequel series doesn't begin until 2014?!?! Thankfully, and joyfully, I discovered that there were three novellas for sale that weren't on her website -- of which this is one. And, it's 100% Kingsley (well, Eleanor and Soren do make a minor cameo...but no speaking parts)! I love me some Kingsley!!! He's cocky. He's dangerous. He's sweet. He's, well, HOT. Oh my is this a fun and steamy read. And, the things that come out of Kingsley's mouth...my goodness...only he could pull off half of what he says. While it is a novella, and, as I've mentioned, very short...Ms. Reisz does a great job of building the characters and treating it as if it were a full size book. I've ready many a novella, and this one from Ms. Reisz is really top notch. Then again, I'd read the obituaries if she wrote them. This is definitely a must-read if you're a Ms. Reisz fan. However, if you haven't read The Siren (the first book in The Original Sinners series), you HAVE NO BUSINESS READING THIS NOVELLA. In all cases, one MUST read The Siren FIRST if you're going to try out Ms. Reisz's work. Ideally, for those who have already read The Siren, and are trying to figure out where, in the order of things, this should be read -- this story is referenced in The Mistress, so you can either read it after The Mistress, as I did, or, I'd recommend reading it just before The Mistress. This story isn't critical plot-wise to anything, just a reference in The Mistress...so there will be no value add by reading this sooner in the process. But, it is definitely worth the read. For sure! The story of Kingsley and Charlie. You hear about Charlie from Kingsley in The Mistress where he tells Wesley about Charlie, and because he loved Charlie, and had to let her go, Kingsley was able to find his Juliette. It reveals another side to Kingsley, and I think you better understand his power and lure. I'm looking forward to learning more of Kingsley and Nora, and how King taught Nora to become a dominatrix.
