I loved Desperation Of Love by Alice just as much as the first one. I really have a special place in my heart for Victor. Alex is different from Victor in the way that makes me want to get to know him. Jordan on the other hand needs someone like Alex in her life. She needs someone who is going to want to be with her unconditionally. Alex definitely was proven to be patient, kind, and loving. He was perfect in every way. I didn't want to put this book down. If I could of read it in one sitting I would have. Jordan is Ellie's best friend from the fist book Desperation of Love. She is very skittish when it comes to long term relationships. Alex is Victor's brother and he is an all around good guy. He does what is asked of him and never complains. His mother has treated him badly always putting Victor's career above him. Jordan and Alex are friends. When Alex moves to town because he is venturing into producing with Victor. Victor has quit performing and is concentrating on his happiness with Ellie. Jordan and Alex are thrown together. They are both family to Ellie and Victor. Their relationship shifts after he moves to town. Jordan is scared to pursue anything with him, Ellie has made it clear she doesn't want to see Alex hurt. Alex makes his own decisions and he likes Jordan. He wants a relationship with her. Unfortunately they agree to keep it a secret. They are both hiding from more then the people who care for them the most. There are family secrets and past hurts that are truly standing in the way of their happiness. Patience is what Alex has a lot of. Jordan has it in her head that she is going to do something to ruin the relationship. Her parents divorce has scared her from giving all of herself. Alex knows this but whatever Jordan is willing to give he will take. The feelings they share are genuine and he wants to make sure he gives them a real chance. Jordan is so hung up on not being good enough for Alex. I wish I could tell her you are and so much more. I enjoyed seeing more of Ellie and Victor. They were a big part of the relationship between Alex and Jordan. Their love and support was what a family should be. Now there were some ups and downs during the book. Not just between Alex and Jordan, but also the other characters. A lot happens during the book. Some things that happened I wasn't expecting. I absolutely would recommend this book to you. This series has proven fantastic. I look forward to reading the next book. Yes, I believe there will be another book involving Brooke and Ellie's brother. So be sure to keep an eye out as this series continues. I was so touched by this book I am not sure where to start a review of it. I absolutely loved it. It twisted my insides and was sinfully sexy and beautifully heartbreaking and perfectly pieced together.Jordan has a torn past. She spent a lot of time being torn between parents when they divorced and then she learned the truth about her life. She didn’t believe in love and she certainly didn’t let men get close enough to love her fully as she pushed them away or ran from them. Commitment was not in her future and she always though she was content with that.Alex lived in his brother’s shadow much of his life. But he had accepted it. He and his father had a very strained relationship and his mother, well, it was questionable as to whether or not she cared at all. He had his brother though and his brother was his true family and Alex knew it.When Alex moves back to town to open a recording studio with his famous brother, he meets up with Jordan again. Alex and Jordan hadn’t seen each other for quite a while since the morning they woke up in the same bed after Jordan drank a bit too much. Out of fear, Jordan left without a word and didn’t even try to reach out to Alex, her friend, fearing the worst had happened.But when these two collide, sparks fly but can he break down the walls she has built around her heart? Can she trust him enough to learn to love again? Time after time, everything seems to be against Alex in this equation. But he makes a promise that he doesn’t want to break. But it may be inevitable if Jordan continues to push and push. Can these two overcome their pasts and learn how to believe in love together? Can they make that spark last?This book was so beautiful. From start to finish, it had my blood pumping and my heart aching. It was a constant up and down feeling. I smiled, I hoped, I loved, I hated and yes… I cried. I was so torn up at parts of this book and I felt for both Jordan and Alex at different points throughout the book.The characters were amazing and how they interacted was not only breath-taking and sweet but super hot and sexy too! I just didn’t want to put this book down. I believe that any book that can touch me and make me feel the range of emotions this one had me feeling is something special.This is a fabulous book and I highly recommend it!*I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
