I don't usually read this kind of books. I was kind of forced, since (a) this book is what I got during our little Christmas party and (b)I can't pass up the chance of reading a paperback, which I haven't done for a long time, considering I've been reading too much ebooks and dammit, my eyes need to refrain a little from radiation.I didn't expect to like this book. But it was very good. I loved it. I loved that it's real, it's raw and it made my mouth water just imagining those colorful macarons. I liked some of the storytelling, and loved the descriptions of the macarons -- but some of the characters' motivations and behaviors don't hang together. Grace is just a bit too whiny and pathetic in many parts of the book to be a really sympathetic character. And the "big surprise" at the end is just telegraphed so heavily, Tunnicliffe should have just gone ahead and let the characters anticipate it as a possibility.
Do You like book Der Duft Von Tee (2013)?
Good, entertaining. A bit predictable, but good anyway.
