Deceived-Part I New YorkHere is the thing…I have been reading a lot of YA’s lately and this was my book back into the adult world….which is probably why it gained an extra star. The book starts after Chloe has already started at an entry-level position at Meyer and Meyer…and advertising agency. She is already attracted to her totally hot boss Patrick Collins and the nitty gritty starts early. So Patrick sends Chloe out to buy a dress for his niece, I think, because his niece is going to be his date to a charity event. Chloe goes out and finds a sexy dress which Patrick makes her model when she gets back to the office…really?? Then while under the influence they get busy for the first time. Now, the scenes are hot but overly written. I feel the author had to find every name in the book for one noun. Patrick’s and Chloe’s relationship starts to grow and Patrick starts to take advantage of her advertising ideas to land this huge account and at the end, at the charity event that was mentioned at the beginning…Patrick gets caught in a predicament. I don’t know why Chloe was so quick to let go of the relationship without a detailed explanation but…to each its own. It is a really quick read…that is one thing I didn’t like either…it is in 4 parts so you have to pay separately for each part…I wished it was just one book. I rarely dislike characters in books and I wanted to like Chloe I just never got their. Chloe Swanson is a mid-western college graduate that lands her dream job in New York City, she doesn't realize what life has in store for her. Patrick Collins who is her Boss will stop at nothing to get what he wants including using Chloe to land a big account. This book was written form Chloe's POV and it just seemed childish at times. Although this is my first time reading this author it seems like there were a lot of unnecessary words or word choices. The whole scene with the "Baroness" was very strange. I am not sure if I will continue this series this book didn't make me want to read more.

Good book. Short story but plenty of action. Will finish the series, just to see how it plays out
