Death by BikiniLinda GerberAphra is a 16 year old girl who works with her dad on their tropical resort. On a day like any other, she realizes that her father has been acting strange ever since an unscheduled arrival of a cute boy and his secretive family occurred. She wanted to get answers for her questions such as," Who are they?" , "What do they do?" , "Why are they here?" , etc. She confronts her father but he does not answer straightforwardly at all. She tries to find out but instead starts a chain of events that will change their lives forever. I enjoyed this book a lot. The author was very descriptive and had a clear sense of how to manipulate the reader's thoughts and suspicions. It was very fun and exciting, especially when Adam, the son of the ominous family, and Aphra were chasing yet running away from a killer. I would recommend this book for people ages 10 through 15 because it has vocabulary that is somewhat new yet easy to understand if you're a middle schooler. I recently read this book after a rave review from a friend, and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Although it was a little bit predictable, I really enjoyed the plot. I didn't, however, like the ending. I felt it was an easy out and wasn't thoroughly thought through. However I did enjoy all of the characters; they were a delightfully colorful cast. Overall it was a good book that I would recommend to people looking for a fast read or a murder mystery.

Plot holes the size of Bermuda and tacky product placement. SHAME!
