I enjoyed reading this book. The characters came to life. Near the end the plot(s) got complicated and the story became even more unbelievable. The main character, Josiah, is a beekeeper who finds a rival beekeeper (also known as a bee "whisperer") dead in one of her hives. She is a suspect in his death, but eventually the death is ruled a heart attack. She keeps searching for answers as to why he was on her property, why the bees attacked him, how he got there and discovers the killer, but keeps her findings to herself. BUT another character (Detective O'Nan) has it in for her and she is nearly murdered herself. This free edition is part of a six-book (including a novella a.k.a. longer than a short story, shorter than a book) series. The first three can be purchased as one big book. I liked the story although somewhat predictable. Initially I was interested in seeing what happened with Josiah but didn't want to pay for the sequels. Read the abstracts on Amazon instead which still did not convince me to invest. So, moving on. Time for a change of genre.
Do You like book Death By A HoneyBee (2010)?
Cute story. Loved Josiah, but it was a wee bit slow and the ending was unsatisfying IMO.

Another of my bookbub.com finds. It's a creative who-dun-it with interesting characters.

I liked it well enough to buy some others in the series.
