About book De Dansmeester (2014)

I literally read this book in one day. It was filled with so much drama, mystery, and yes romance. I could hardly put it down for five minutes. One thing that I really liked about this book is that although it did have the romance in it, it wasn’t the focus of the story. I feel that a lot of authors don’t realize that romance doesn’t need to be the main focus of a book, yes it’s nice to read a romance novel but please just don’t overdo it.Julie Klassen is the perfect author if you love Jane Austen novels. Her blend of romance and history is unlike most of the books I have ever read, and I have read a lot believe me. The way that she writes with such passion is unbelievable; it takes you back in time so that it actually feels like you’re right there with the characters. This is one book you don’t want to miss, especially if you love historical novels and especially if you are looking for a clean romance novel, which are so hard to find these days.“Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and Graf-Martin Communications, Inc.Available at your favourite bookseller from Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group”. Gentle inspirational romance--a pleasant read, although I've preferred others by Klassen (Lady of Milkwood Manor). I like the idea of it being a Regency Footloose--and you have to wonder whether Klassen had that in mind, especially in her creation of Julia Midwinter, a headstrong flirt. Lots of secrets here, from the dancing master's to Lady Amelia's--she's the one who has banned dancing. I particularly appreciated the epigraphs at the chapter heads--advertisements from the time for dancing lessons, historical quotations about dancing, lines from Jane Austen on the topic. A heartwarming story.

Do You like book De Dansmeester (2014)?

As always, I get caught up in the characters. It's a bit predictable, but still good.

Not my favorite of Klassen's, but I found it interesting.
