This 127 page comic by James Patterson tells the story of how one boy, Daniel X who has the superpower of creating anything on his mind, must continue his fathers job of exterminating all evil aliens. In this book, Daniel X is on the mission of destroying alien number 7, which means he is getting very close to the end of his mission. After discovering alien number 7's hideout, Daniel X realises he has a son. To get more information on Alien 7 Daniel goes to school to try and confront the aliens son. After obtaining information from the son, and becoming friends with him after a couple of days, Daniel tries to find a way to exterminate Alien 7. He eventually realises from the son that the alien is made up of ants, which helps Daniel with trying to figure out strategies on how to kill the alien. One night while Daniel is outside on a hilltop with Kildare, the aliens son, Alien 7 finds Daniel which results in long battle between the two. In the end Kildare sacrifices his life to exterminate his father so no more destruction will occur. The author of this book made this book in a very creative style. The book is filled with colour and detail. The author put a lot of time into detailing the characters from facial expressions, to the background scenery. The colour and detail enhance the mood of the book. For example during a night scene, the is a lot of detail to make the scene look creepy, and the colour just increases that effect even more.In the end I did not really like this book. This genre is not one of my favourites, however I usually like comics. This book would be good for young readers with a big imagination, also for those who love science fiction and stories about extraterrestrials. Great book. I'm a James Patterson fan, so this book was no problem to read. Daniel is an alien hunter, hunting down aliens on the list of most wanted. He's on Earth, but Daniel isn't human. He's also an alien. And he has special powers, imaginary friends that are a little more real than imaginary and a grudge against an alien that he really shouldn't be fighting. It's intense, fun to read, and keeps you sucked into its world. A great, great book.
