Confessions of a Prayer Slacker... This book has been ssssuch an amazing book!! We can have such a hhhhuge tendency, as Christians, to either be legalistic toward others or allow feelings of condemnation concerning our own prayer life, based on what we "see" in others... This book has been such a tremendous help for me in my own prayer life and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to anybody who has the INTESTINAL FORTITUDE to challenge themselves!! Mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, I could relate to the author--I'm a Texas/Oklahoma girl too--and I recognized and could relate to many of the anecdotes she shared. On the other hand, Moody would still regard me as a prayer slacker, in spite of her best efforts to inspire me to spend time praying and reading scripture each morning.I am still searching for a text about prayer or how to pray that will knock my socks off. Will let y'all know when I find it.
Quick read ...the humor beomes a little trying hard. but I appreciated its kick in its message.
