About book Comment Se Débarrasser D'un Vampire Amoureux (2009)
That was INTENSE.The first part, when Lucius was trying to win over Jessica/Antanasia but wasn't yet used to the American lifestyle: The way he was so raw and honest, and everything he said and did stuck out so much, had me on the edge, sometimes laughing at the absurdity of it, sometimes just FEELING (my thoughts while I was reading this: GRAAAAAGH THIS IS SO INTENSE ADFGHLKHKJGYFYGLUKHLUGLKUGKGFTDRYDSSSKYGKDITYSL). It was extremely romantic and I certainly felt a whole range of emotions throughout the whole book. There was a point when it all started getting a little darker. That's usually not my thing but in this case it was still brilliant and completely drew me in. The very last paragraph, talking about how maybe Lucius got rid of the stake, or maybe he kept it in case he would choose to use it again - I didn't like that, because it tied up and concluded and left the book with a note of darkness, instead of a note of romance, which I think would have been a better ending. We want to remember Lucius and Antanasia and the strength of their love, and not be left with an ominous, evil cloud. The thing where they drink each other's blood - that could have been a complete disaster and indeed it sounds pretty ew, but it was actually written in such a way that made it beautiful and precious, so I was really impressed by that.So basically: the entire book was amazing and intense and drew me in in a way that not many books do, and it was just that one paragraph at the end I didn't like. Which is really too bad, that the one part I didn't like was at the very end of the book, because that's the part that stays with me.Oh and also, I don't much like the cover and the title seems really light-hearted and not all that suited to the novel itself. Another thing, the vampires were not terribly detailed and there were a few things that weren't made clear to me, such as wait so they murder people to drink? And the issue of living forever and do they age physically?So it looks like I have a lot of criticism, but I did love the book a LOT and gave it five stars. Σε αυτό το βιβλίο οι χαρακτήρες δεν είναι τέλειοι, είναι σχεδόν ελαττωματικοί, κ αυτό ακριβώς είναι το σημείο που τους κάνει τόσο απολαυστικούς!!! Δεν θυμίζει τόσο τα υπόλοιπα Y.A. φαντασίας. Έχει μια σκωπτική διάθεση, μια σκανδαλιά που κάνει την ανάγνωση του πολύ ευχάριστη.
